ENOUGH NOW- Come let's face it!!!

Yes my dear readers I am writing this not on any other topic than women security. Even today in the interiors of India, people believe that a woman should be veiled and that clothes are the reason for them being raped. Why should only the people of the village be pointed finger at? Even in our cities dwell 'human beings', and mark my words when I am not specifying any gender I mean both, who feel that its a woman's outfit that calls for such lewd attention.

I would like to ask you my dear reader, who I believe is radical enough to judge questions in a better manner- In India it is a common sight that men early in the morning are found under tube wells only in a gamchaa, bathing. Often some, in these early morning sightings, are seen only in briefs from where their penis is seen hanging obtrusively. I am sorry for my choice of phrases but isn't that what a man's brain thinks on seeing a woman's breast behind a tight outfit? So my question to you now- Why do women not jump on the men in those times and disrobe them in the streets and say that its their outfit which attracted them to 'rape' them. Let me give you my point of view- Women are saner than the men. I mean its hilarious to believe that clothes can be the main criminal behind these rapes. Ehh just as a side note- Did we forget the famous Hetal Parekh case? The one which was better known for the killer Dhananjoy? Does that ring a bell? If not then let me hit the gong. Hetal was an innocent 13 year old child living in an apartment of Bhawanipore, Kolkata. A 13 year old child at home I believe cannot be in such an attire which can attract a man's evil desires to rape her. But ladies and gentlemen, Hetal was raped and the crime ended on her being murdered. Even news of minors being raped surface and do we still want to believe that its the skimpy outfit of a woman which does it all?
But if some of my 'logical' readers still believe that its a woman's dress that invites rapes then let me ask yet another question- What about the man in a shorts running in a jogger's park early in the morning? Well to your displeasure I have not yet heard of a single case in which a man in a shorts has been attacked by women for wearing 'skimpy' outfit.

Coming to the issue. I also feel, and as I always say its my personal view, media too has a role to play behind this. No? Yes I say. I do not find any logical reason behind portraying a woman in almost nothing in an advertisement which aims at selling commodities like shaving gels, shaving creams, after shaves, men's underwear and other such stuff used by men. What provokes the stupid men of our society is the way media portrays a woman. In so many films we see a heroine robed, or shall I say disrobed almost leaving few of her body parts here and there, being hit on her buttocks by the hero in some bar and the background music is known as an ITEM SONG. Women are 'Items'? A commodity? And what's more shocking is to learn that the women who feature in these songs or commercials willfully do so as that's what the public wants, they opine. I say go shoot some porn movie, the public would love you more. The trend of heroines in such outfits are not new. Did we forget Mandakini in Ram Teri Ganga Maili?

Yes my vigilant illogical reader I know I have pushed the ball in your court by talking of outfits myself. Let me justify myself as you have no other option than either to close my blog or read till the last fullSTOP.

Actresses who appear on the TV screens in skimpy dresses are most of the time shooting such a sequence where she is with her love (in a particular movie). That means when the man touches her, she has virtual consent (since its a movie, and movies are just movies stupid), as she loves the man sharing the screen with her. So here I come with my catch word- CONSENT. They are not being raped. Its a virtual, consensual sexuality. I win a brownie point here my readers. Rapes and molestations are in no way consensual. They are forceful and devastating. They not only ruin a woman physically but also mentally. And again I would like to say that in such movies, where the women appear in clothes which are too less to cover them, men do not jump on them. They ogle at their revealing beauty, which again I accept is wrong. Some illogical men of the society think that its macho to pass comments or ogle at a girl's breast. I am not saying that all women are cleansed in milk. There are women who reveal to get wrong attention and end up satisfying her own thirst. But dear reader do you remember my catch word-CONSENT- yes! The woman who does that has full consent for so and I find no wrong in it. The wrong lies in our perspective. The wrong lies in how we judge irrationally. The wrong lies in us and its time we stand up against such stupid Intra-Personal communication (where a man talks to himself). We all know that it is not a woman's tight dress always. Many of us also try to peep in through the slit in a woman's kameez even though it is behind a dupatta

Stop being even the smallest cause for a woman's displeasure. Stop embarrassing them by blaming their outfit. Stop brutalising women for wearing what they want to. And remember, you too have a mother, have a sister. If you think its right to view a woman with such eyes then the society too has the right to see your sister as an 'item', a 'commodity', a 'sex doll' and mind if she wishes to wear jeans and top, SHE TOO RUNS THE RISK OF GETTING RAPED, as that is what your dirty mind thinks.

IS IT ISLAM THAT KILLS?

Terrorism, in the 21st century, is something that has not only shaken up all parts of the world but also has it brought bad name to the Muslims. People all the world over abuse the religion for giving birth to people who spread terror and kill innocents. And on top of that a new radical Muslim group springs up every now and then. But let us think about it rationally. Does all these incidents actually make the religion or so to say the the Quran a piece of shit? Consider a group of people forming a new radical group going about saying that their religion asks them to kill people, that their religion asks them to fight against the innocent. Does that mean we start believing that there is problem in the religious scripts of that religion? Anybody can claim anything, but we have been gifted with a mind which is supposed to be used rationally and not just follow arbitrary nincompoops. It is also baffling to see that whenever a terrorist attack takes place the media all over uses th...

Commonly used short forms and their meanings

Ever since the days of our arboreal ancestors, mankind has been trying to reduce effort by innovating new necessities. And the result is in front of our eyes today. We want pizza, it gets delivered to our place. We want grocery, it gets delivered to our place at our convenient time. This urge of humankind to reduce effort has actually helped us in many ways. Like, if our ancestors would not have made use of crude stone tools, we wouldn’t have been able to make the sophisticated equipment we used these days. Thus, everything undergoes change. However, in today’s world, we tend to forget willingly the etymology of the transformed form. Taking the point of reducing effort to another level, let me take you through the commonly-used abbreviations. We all use them, though in our childhood, our teachers used to scold us for using them, nonetheless we used them for our convenience. Using an abbreviation in this fast-paced life is okay but not knowing the origin of the same may pr...

Tum Kitne Afzal Maroge, Ghar Ghar Se Afzal Niklega!

It is hard to trace the origin of sloganeering or probably beyond my capability to do so but if we consider the broad meaning then sloganeering is an act to unite like-minded people, incite them and instill within them a sense of oneness, predominately for some cause. If I am not very wrong, if so I can stand corrected, sloganeering was made famous during the early days of uprising by rebels against the tyrannical rulers. In India, during the struggle for freedom, slogans were made to get people together and rise up against the British Raj. "Inkalaab Zindabaad" was one among many that was probably the most used and by far the most useful slogans used during those days. The two words simply mean "Long live Revolution" but the greater meaning had a great impact in the minds of millions who dreamt of waking up in a free country. Inkalaab Zindabaad was so famous that even in today's generation we use it almost anytime we wish to show our dissent towards s...
